Biography
From an early age music has deeply coloured my life. Having trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London, I have enjoyed performing as a professional violinist now for over twenty years.
More recently, however, I have allowed some space for my interest in both psychotherapy and Buddhism to expand. Interested in enquiring more deeply into the nature of my own experience and having had an ongoing curiosity as to our interaction with others, I first became involved in Core Process Psychotherapy back in 2005.
In 2008, I attended the Foundation Course in Core Process Psychotherapy at the Karuna Institute, and then embarked on the MA Psychotherapy training in 2009. I am now a fully accredited member of the UKCP.
A stimulating part of my training has been working as an honorary chaplain in a medium secure forensic unit for the NHS, listening to and learning from service users I have met there.
Time and time again I am reminded of the essence that I believe lies at the root of a healing therapeutic relationship; this being simply the unconditional presence of another.
